Xie Sulan is a board member of the World Chinese Artists Association, a member of the China Folklore Photographic Association, and the Chair of the Jury for the Asia International Youth Film Festival.

She joined the Meao Art Studio in 2008. In 2013, her work was included in the Encyclopedia of Artists of Great Britain by UNESCO, earning her the title of “Encyclopedic Artist of Great Britain.” In 2018 and 2019, at the invitation of French Artists Association, five of her works were exhibited in the French International Art Salon at the Louvre, where she won the Salon Award. In 2021, she was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist” by the China Artists Association and other associations.

Since 2023, eleven of her works have received awards in international art competitions, including one silver medal, eight bronze medals, and two excellent works awards. In 2023 and 2024, three of her Chinese paintings and one photograph were permanently collected. Among them, her Chinese painting Ruyi was permanently collected by the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome; Autumn Fruits was permanently collected by the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence; Fragrant Evening Lotus was permanently collected by the Academy of Fine Arts of Berlin; and her photographic work Happiness on the Road was permanently collected by the Repin Academy of Fine Art.
